I went go kart racing for the first time ever today at K1 on Burnet. This painting was hanging by the gate to the track. I placed 2nd. Now that’s some inspiration.
Congratulations Austin, Texas; You have been ranked the 10th worst place to own a car in the US according to the commentariat at Jalopnik.com. But don’t take their word for it, apparently, according to the Statesman, other groups hold a similar opinion of the live music capital of the world.
I’ve lived here for over a year and really the only major complaint I have about the city of Austin is the traffic (a minor annoyance) and the drivers (a threat to all life in general).
It wouldn’t be so bad if Austinites would just put down their double mocha frappuccinos and smart phones and keep their hands on the wheel. That and if the city’s civic planning wasn’t executed by a couple of 4-year-olds and a box of crayons.
Vader Has a New Ride
On the way to work today, I passed a new, black-on-black Acura ZDX with tinted windows. The license plate on the car read, VADR.
